What is Pinioning?

What is Pinioning on French Guinea fowl keets

Pinioning is the act of removing part of the wing at the pinion. We do this one one side so the guinea fowl is unbalanced and cannot fly well. We do not recommend this for free range fowl since it hurts their ability to get away from predators. If done by a trained individual when a keet is a few hours old, pinioning is quick and minimally painful.

We offer day old, pinioned French guinea fowl for sale by mail order. Shop here.
